Video Marketing Internship

Kapwing, a leading platform for video content creation, is seeking a passionate Video Marketing Intern to generate content for its @Kapwing YouTube channel, which has grown to over 200,000 subscribers.


This role involves pitching video ideas, writing scripts, recording, and editing video content primarily for YouTube. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of experience in video content creation, whether through presenting, editing, social media, or similar roles, and is likely a student or recent graduate with a strong interest in content creation.


The role requires someone comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, creative team environment. The position can be based in San Francisco, where Kapwing's offices are located, or performed remotely, provided the candidate is available to work during 9 am–5 pm EST hours.


Daily responsibilities include producing engaging content, learning and adapting to new tools quickly, understanding trends and challenges faced by content creators, and occasionally conducting interviews. A key part of this role is helping to establish a regular production rhythm for weekly YouTube videos, including full-length content and Shorts, as well as repurposing content for other social platforms when appropriate.


This role reports directly to Kapwing’s Head of Content and offers the opportunity to work closely with a growing content team of five. It provides valuable experience in a collaborative environment with room for growth and the chance to develop skills in video production, social media strategy, and digital storytelling. The Video Marketing Internship is paid.


Responsibilities
  • Create long-form videos for the Kapwing YouTube channel. Pitch ideas, draft scripts, film and edit videos, and publish videos that help creators navigate the changing world of digital media. 
  • Interview creators to learn more about their pain points and create case studies
  • Steer Kapwing's YouTube strategy in line with the Content Marketing team
  • Support the affiliate program: Reach influencers on Instagram and YouTube to spread the word

  • Experienced with social media: Familiar with social media channels like Instagram, YouTube, X, Snap, etc.
