Overview

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Landscape Architect with 4+ years of experience to join the Nashville, Tennessee (TN) office! 

Responsibilities

  • Support our national Landscape Architecture and Land Planning practices by providing site planning, urban and landscape design, and graphic and technical expertise
  • Work in a dynamic team environment on a range of projects including higher education, multifamily, mixed-use, hospitality and resort, community planning, and streetscape design throughout the region for a wide variety of great clients
  • Project experiences will be diverse as we provide services to both the public and private sectors.
  • Site planning, urban and landscape design, and graphic and technical expertise on public and private sector project
  • Project Management/Task management on a variety of public and private sector projects
  • Write proposals and scope of service
  • Preparation of Drawing sets, Details and Specifications, 3D modeling and Rendering

Qualifications

  • 4+ more years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture
  • Registered Professional/Certified Landscape Architect (PLA/CLA) license or ability to obtain in 1 year
  • Project management experience or desire to manage projects
  • Strong AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Lumion, and Microsoft (Word and Excel) skills
  • Working knowledge of graphic software programs (Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, Illustrator, GIS/ArcView, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Positive attitude, team oriented, and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated; sense of urgency to produce high quality work
  • Strong presentation skills and a desire to pursue work, manage clients and a team
  • Involvement in professional organizations desired
  • This is not a remote position.
