Business Analyst I

NOTE: This is not a remote position but will be based in our Lawrenceville GA office.

SUMMARY:

The Business Analyst I will serve as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical and process solutions to meet user needs. The Business Analyst possesses knowledge in the business, as well as a basic understanding of the IT organization’s systems and capabilities.

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 
•    Partner with business areas to assess reporting, analysis and data visualization needs
•    Develop knowledge of local business processes and recommending technology-driven process improvements
•    Document business requirements
•    Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications
•    Partner with technical subject matter experts to determine and document the optimal design
•    Facilitate change and innovation to legacy systems and processes
•    Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
•    Develop informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement
•    Conduct market research analysis to support strategic initiatives and provide opportunities for growth, progress, and change
•    Ensure and measure data integrity

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Math, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent experience
•    1 - 3 years’ experience as a business analyst
•    Basic knowledge of various SDLC and process methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
•    Demonstrated ability to translate business processes into process diagrams
•    Strong written and oral communications skills
•    Must be solution oriented and a creative problem solver
•    Self-motivated, able to lead work steams independently
•    Good organization, time management skills and attention to detail
•    Ability to work across multiple teams, building relationships across those teams
•    Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) 
•    Experience with business process mapping tools such as Visio, Lucidchart or similar tool

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

•    Consumer finance industry experience
•    Ability to work in a growing, fast-paced environment
•    Experience with Project Management Concepts and tools (MS Project, SmartSheet)

COMPENSATION:

•    The salary range for this position is $63,000 - $73,500 per year, based on the specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Experience of the selected candidate.

•    This position is eligible for Semi Annual Incentive compensation based on individual and company performance guidelines.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

•    Primarily located in office environment
•    Occasional travel (less than 10%)
