YouVersion has an outstanding opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-starting individual to join our team working as an on-site Data Analyst at the Edmond, OK headquarters of Life.Church. This individual will develop recommendations through detailed analytical support. The analyst will build relationships with other YouVersion teams, understand their initiatives, and build impactful reports, KPIs, metrics, and innovative visualizations to help the organization make data-driven decisions. The analyst will also be an advocate for our users, representing them(via their data) to the relevant teams within YouVersion. A successful candidate will have a natural curiosity, constantly asking the"why" behind data and methodology to drive meaningful insights and strategy.

What You’ll Do
  • Regularly review and identify insights from data stored in various forms(SQL tables, analytics tools, spreadsheets, etc.)
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure all relevant data is being collected.
  • Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling.
  • Contribute to data governance tasks to continue to make YouVersion data trusted, accessible, and timely.
  • Work cross-functionally with YouVersion teams to align data needs to business objectives .
  • Provide consultation to teams by communicating insights and recommendations in a clear, succinct, and action-oriented format.
  • Use data to provide YouVersion team(s) with trends and actionable recommendations .
  • Provide data insights to YouVersion teams to assist them in progressing towards established goals .
  • Create compelling data visualizations using a variety of tools(reports, presentations, dashboards, spreadsheets, etc.)
  • Continue to learn and develop as an analyst and share skills/knowledge with other analysts.
  • Support YouVersion Data Team with daily operations.


Skills Needed to Succeed
  • Strong statistical, analytical, and reasoning skills.
  • Insatiable curiosity; ability to question the"why" behind data and methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate data insights at a technical level appropriate for various audiences.
  • Maintain a systematic and organized approach to completing assignments accurately, thoroughly, and timely.
  • Ability to self-motivate, take initiative, make independent decisions, and problem-solve.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment and work independently.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, Tableau, Google Analytics, BigQuery, Amplitude, or other data processing tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics discipline.
  • 2-3 years of experience in data analytics, business analysis, and/or strategy.
  • 4+ years of related work experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools such as GA4, Tableau, Amplitude, Mixpanel, and BigQuery preferred.
