Meridian is the largest producer of renewable electricity in Aotearoa and we strive to deliver clean energy for a fairer and healthier world. We only generate electricity from 100% renewable resources – wind, water and sun, because we believe that’s the best way forward for our planet and our communities. And, we’re doing what we can to help Aotearoa reduce their carbon emissions and supporting others in our communities to do the same.
Together, our two brands, Meridian and Powershop retail electricity to more than 380,000 homes, businesses and farms across New Zealand. Now that’s a pretty impressive combo!

Reporting to the Asset Deployment & Operations Lead, the Project Manager will initially work on an improvement project aimed at creating velocity through the pre-sale proposal generation piece through the transfer of responsibility for project estimation (especially network upgrades and installation contractor costs) from sales engineering into ADO.
In the medium and longer term you will champion Health & Safety in the asset deployment and operations space, while tracking financial, sustainability, and other targets. The role involves managing multiple complex issues, identifying solutions, and maintaining strong relationships with key parties involved in installation, ensuring stakeholders are well-informed on progress.
You will oversee the deployment of EV chargers, solar systems, and other assets in the field, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on budget, on time, and to specification. You will provide regular reports and analytics related to individual deployments and the wider deployment program. Additionally, you will minimise and measure materials used and people travel during site work to report carbon use during construction. Working closely with internal H&S experts, you will lead a high-quality H&S culture across our team and business, ensuring practices align with Meridian policies and procedures. You’ll continuously identify and deliver process improvements to support the scale-up of Meridian’s deployment capacity and support value streams and squads to achieve our objectives.
