Business Analyst

JOB SUMMARY:

Research, analyze and evaluate products, business systems and user requirements. Operates as part of an Agile team responsible for defining and documenting requirements on solutions that improve overall business operations and maximize value to customers. Performs at a team level by learning, contributing/expanding knowledge, clarifying requirements/needs with relevant test acceptance and develops training and solution documentation. This role is expected to be on-site in the Versailles, Ohio location 4 days a week.  This in not a remote position.

ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Facilitates workshops to gather and document business and user requirements/needs and problems
  • Develops process maps reflecting current and improved workflow operations
  • Contributes to the product backlog, user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Builds low and/or high-fidelity prototypes to foster accurate requirements and needs
  • Documents business acceptance criteria in structured, behavior-driven scripting format (e.g., Gherkin - Given-When-Then)
  • Creates business cases for operational improvements taking into consideration schedule, cost and scope
  • Takes part in resolving system/solution availability and high-risk issues when identified
  • Participates in required Agile ceremonies and demonstrates relevant value
  • Creates relevant solution/project documentation in support of Midmark’s Quality Management System
  • Authors how-to and knowledge management references
  • Continuously learns and applies best practices in support of DevOps and modern software delivery

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, systems analysis, computer science or related field, or accredited certification with relevant experience required. 1-3 years of business analyst experience.

  • Ability to productively receive and analyze feedback, applying improvements for the betterment of the team
  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite, Microsoft Visio, Miro, Confluence, Microsoft Azure DevOps and other relevant software application tools
