Northrop Grumman Mission System’s Networking Information Solutions (NIS) Division has an immediate opening for a Capture Manager position located at our San Diego, CA Spectrum facility.  This position reports directly to the Business Development Director and will be a full-time onsite position.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Capture/Proposal Leadership

  • Opportunity identification and qualification
  • Opportunity shaping
  • Business case analysis
  • Customer relationship management
  • Customer acquisition approach analysis and shaping
  • Government Relations collaboration on customer engagement strategies and execution
  • Future customer requirements analysis and planning
  • Capture strategy development and execution
  • Proposal management and development
  • Customer and competitor assessments
  • Price-to-Win analysis
  • Teammate/supplier selection and relationship management
  • After action analysis to improve processes

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's + 9 years of experience: Master's + 7 years of experience; PhD + 4 years of experience. 13 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Current and active DoD Top Secret and eligibility for SCI
  • US Government acquisition process experience
  • Experience in Program Management or Capture Management
  • Includes at least 1 year of experience in a capture or proposal management role on opportunities valued at $20M or greater
  • Experience training, leading, directing activities of team members through execution of a formal proposal process
  • Knowledge and understanding of U.S. Government’s competitive acquisition process
  • Position requires availability to travel 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in program planning, budget development and execution, workforce planning, risk management, and the implementation of project processes and controls
  • Current user and acquisition customer relationships
  • Experience in the Business Acquisition Process (BAP)
  • Current/active TS/SCI security clearance

Salary Range: $156,500.00 - $234,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
