Senior Product Designer

Overview

At Privy, we're building the tools that empower developers in the crypto and fintech ecosystems. As our second product designer, you'll join our founding designer in shaping the future of our products, helping to expand our design team and drive our design vision forward. You’ll collaborate with a close-knit group of engineers to create the most exciting dev tools in crypto, focusing on making privacy and user ownership the default online.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with our founding designer and engineers to bring product ideas to life through prototypes, demos, and visual design

  • Work across product design, UI/UX, and brand to create a cohesive experience for our users and customers

  • Help define product strategy with a focus on building and iterating on simple, intuitive interfaces

  • Lead the design of mobile-first, consumer-grade experiences while working closely with our engineering team to implement them

  • Design micro-interactions and animations that enhance user experience and brand identity

  • Create high-fidelity designs and prototypes to communicate design concepts clearly to stakeholders

  • Partner with the product and engineering teams to iterate on features and ensure design quality in shipping new products

  • Contribute to product marketing by developing visuals that communicate our brand effectively across various channels

About you

What we’re looking for

  • 3+ years of work designing consumer-facing products

  • Extraordinary visual design skills, strong understanding of UX principles, and a passion for UI details

  • Experience designing consumer-facing apps with a strong focus on mobile UI and UX

  • Demonstrated ability to design simple solutions to complex user problems

  • A solid understanding of micro animations and how they can enhance the user experience

  • Experience bringing designs to life through live prototypes and interactive demos

  • Experience working closely with engineers to ship high-quality products

  • Strong portfolio showing excellent UX/UI skills

  • Design tools: Figma

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in consumer crypto products or developer tools

  • Interest in brand design and product marketing

  • Coding experience with HTML, CSS, or JavaScript 

  • Experience scaling design systems 

  • Passion for crypto ecosystem and an eagerness to push the boundaries of design in this space

  • Design tools: Framer, Adobe After Effects, Lottie,  Rive

  • Kind, curious, generous, low ego, generative spirit, excitement about creating new things and shipping quickly

  • A strong preference for sentence case over Title Case
