RN Telemetry (Full Time Night)

Come join the unit that was the Daisy Team Award Winner, 2022 and the AACN Beacon Award for Excellence 2024-2027. This Post Critical Care Unit (PCCU) is a 25-bed tele monitored unit that is fast-paced and exciting. The unit offers caregivers an opportunity to be challenged in an environment that provides support and fosters personal growth and development. This unit attracts those interested in a higher acuity level than your standard MedSurg or Telemetry unit. The Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4 for the general population and 1:3 for the Intermediate Care (IMC) population. CNA’s and Monitor Techs are also a pivotal part of our team. All nurses hold their ACLS and NIHSS certification and receive specialty training to provide care to those IMC level of care. Approximately 40% of our qualified RN's hold specialty board certification(s) such as their PCCN and/or SCRN exemplifying their dedication to their own practice, to evidence-based practice, and to providing the best possible care to our patients. Patients typically cared for here include post percutaneous coronary intervention procedures, cardiac thoracic surgery, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), stable arrhythmia management (Afib with RVR), stroke, sepsis, respiratory distress (High Flow, Bipap) and neurosurgery. Intermediate care patients include chronic ventilators, high oxygen needs (>70% Fi02, HFNC, BIPAP), lumbar drains, high risk cardiac post-ops, and titratable cardiac drips. Required Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • California Registered Nurse License upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certificate - NIH Stroke Scale Training Course upon hire
  • 1 year Nursing experience
