Job Description
The successful candidate will work with the Test Team to develop and execute automated software tests in a Linux environment using Python. They will use established test plans, and, in many cases, existing pseudo code to develop, debug, and execute test cases which will help verify a ground control system for a critical national space asset. As such, US citizenship is mandatory due to ITAR and EAR regulations. Multiple positions are available for candidates with a range of experience from 3+ years to mid-career. The work is to be performed on site in Titusville, Florida. Some extended hours and a non-traditional work schedule may be required to gain access to the target ground control system hardware, which will be required for development and debugging of the automated test cases.
Job Duties
Automated software test development in Python in a Linux environment. Existing ground control system requirements, test case design, and pseudo code will be utilized to develop automated test cases.
• Test cases will be verified by executing against target ground control system software. Resolution of any issues will either be by writing a discrepancy against system software, or updating the test case, as appropriate.
• Perform formal test conduct as part of the Functional Qualification Test (FQT) of the ground control system software. Formally document results in a Test Report, as appropriate.

- Space Systems / Missile Systems / Avionics-related experience
- Test development and conduct experience
- NASA or DoD software development experience
- Software Development experience in C/C++ for Linux / Windows
- Experience using scripting languages; Python, Bash, etc.
- Experience using Eclipse and Visual Studio
Technical skills / Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Ability to effectively communicate written and/or orally, between various teams
- Must be a US Citizen
