Insights Analyst

Job Summary:

The responsibility of the Insights Analyst is to analyze in store customer behavior to address customer questions and provide KPIs to customers. They will also address custom questions from customers using video analysis and python to model customer behavior and provide aggregated insights into customer behavior and performance of various areas in store. They will work closely with the AA Lead to ensure solutions and projects are ready to be delivered to customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Expertise
    • Have a strong ability to visualize how our data represents shoppers moving through spaces, and to use the best methodology to draw out the right answer, or develop new methodologies as needed
    • Identifying and surfacing challenges in the data or timelines to the Analytics Lead and providing thoughtful solutions
  • Project Work
    • Be a technical counterpart to REM team, translating pre-defined project specifications into accurate, clear and properly formatted outputs within established timelines
    • Apply expertise in quantitative analysis and data visualization to surface any potential challenges with data, project scope or timelines
    • Attend meetings with the Retail Engagement Manager teams as needed to understand their needs and explain results, methodologies etc.

  • Ability to be a data expert and successfully create and use best methodologies to solve customer questions or requests

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of Python in order to best address specific customer needs
  • Understanding of the RetailNext product to better answer customer questions as needed

  • Ability to problem solve through customer issues and requests using RetailNext data
