Job Description

About the Role  

Salary Offer: $91,386 - $96,061 per annum + Superannuation

We are looking for a Safety Officer in our Work Health and Safety (WHS) team based in Osborne Park. As a Safety Officer at RWWA you will assist in the promotion of a safety-oriented culture, through providing guidance and support to RWWA leaders and team members on WHS issues. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Conduct safety risk assessments, inspections and investigations within the office environment, facilities and at events
  • Develop and review safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.   
  • Support the development and delivery of tailored safety training and wellbeing programs 
  • Consult with and advise injured employees on the RWWA’s workers compensation process and support them through the management of their claims and returning to work 
  • Contribute to business strategies through active involvement in WHS related projects 

Qualifications

About You  

  • Tertiary qualification in WHS or equivalent relevant experience. 
  • Demonstrated experience in managing workers compensation claims, including liaising with insurers and supporting return-to-work processes. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse range of people and work collaboratively as part of a team. 
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines. 
  • Agriculture, sporting or racing industry knowledge is desirable
