As our first dedicated Payroll Manager, you’ll play a critical role in supporting our rapidly scaling business, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing across our global teams.
WHAT YOU WILL BE GETTING INVOLVED IN:
Reporting into our Controller and working closely with our People team, you’ll take ownership of our payroll operations, compliance, and process improvements, creating a seamless experience for all Scan.com employees.
You will oversee the transition from our current outsourced payroll solution to an in-house solution, and deliver the processes and controls required for an effective payroll function.
As a scale-up business, you can expect your role to develop over time. Here are some of the types of things you could be getting involved in:
• Manage end-to-end payroll processing across multiple entities, ensuring accurate and timely payments
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations
• Maintain payroll records and reports, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
• Liaise with People and Finance teams to manage compensation changes, benefits, bonuses, equity exercises, and new hires/leavers
• Own payroll audits, reconciliations, and reporting for internal and external stakeholders
• Identify and implement opportunities to automate and streamline payroll processes
• Provide exceptional internal service to employees, handling payroll queries with accuracy and care
• Support with year-end processes, including issuing of relevant tax documents (P60s, W-2s, etc)
• Collaborate with our Finance team on payroll-related journal entries and reconciliations
• Administered and managed employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, life insurance, and disability coverage

• Ensure 100% accuracy and on-time delivery of monthly payrolls across all operating regions
• Manage the transition from our existing outsourced payroll solution to an in-house payroll function, ensuring compliant processes are in place
• Build strong, proactive relationships with our People and Finance teams, becoming the go-to expert for all things payroll
• Successfully navigate our global growth by setting up compliant payroll processes in any new countries we expand into
