Description
The Experiential Designer is responsible for creating engaging, immersive, and visually compelling designs and supporting materials for exhibitions and galleries that align with Science Museum Oklahoma’s mission and brand. This position plays a key role in conceptualizing, designing and bringing to life environments that spark curiosity and encourage hands-on exploration. This role also contributes to the museum’s communication and marketing efforts through the development of general graphic design and media materials.
Through collaboration with cross-functional teams, the Experiential Designer ensures that projects are thoughtfully designed, visually cohesive, and seamlessly integrated with the museum’s mission, storytelling, and educational goals.

If you're an innovative thinker with a passion for design, Science Museum Oklahoma is searching for an Experiential Designer to join their dynamic team in Oklahoma City! In this role, you will be engaging in the creation of stunning, immersive designs for exhibitions and galleries, all while staying true to the museum's mission of sparking curiosity and encouraging exploration. You'll be collaborating with various teams to ensure that every project is not only visually captivating but also aligned with the museum's story and educational goals. Your experience in graphic design, complemented by your knack for conceptual thinking, will enable you to develop design concepts that resonate with visitors. You will participate in brainstorming sessions, transform ideas into creative briefs, and research the latest materials and technologies. Your journey will include crafting conceptual drawings and digital models to share with stakeholders, refining design concepts based on collaborative feedback, and overseeing the implementation of your designs. Beyond exhibitions, you’ll also create engaging print and digital materials that enhance the museum's marketing efforts. If you have a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field, along with a strong portfolio showcasing your capabilities, and at least 5 years of experience, we would love to meet you.
