Systems Administrator

Description

  • Building out and maintaining various hybrid software, web and hardware platforms from initial specification to final rollout and maintenance
  • Creating and testing virtualized environments, such as Vmware, LinuxKVM,  or Hyper-V for development and testing procedures that are traceable to system requirements, software installation, command line functions and system troubleshooting, system networking setup/troubleshooting
  • Using knowledge of significant recent experience of LINUX and Windows OS from a design perspective
  • Using previous experience with Windows Server Domain Controllers, Active Directory management, and Microsoft Exchange installation and management
  • Using experience with Container establishment and resource allocation
  • Using experience with LDAP and related account/privilege management
  • Using Microsoft PowerShell to automate, install, configure, harden, and conduct maintenance tasks
  • Cisco switches and routers setup, VLAN management, and port security settings
  • Creating, following and annotating the installation and test procedures, as well as reporting troubleshooting steps and outcomes

Requirements

  • At least seven (7) years of IT professional experience
  • Administrative experience with Linux Operating Systems
  • Administrative experience with Windows Operating Systems
  • Basic knowledge of networking 
  • Experience with building and maintaining VMs in VMware
  • Experience with writing, modifying and executing SOVTs, SIPs, User guides
  • Operating and maintaining Domain and Exchange Server
  • Ability to obtain CompTIA Security +CE or higher-level certification within 6 months
