Account Executive

Scripta insights is a high-growth, venture-backed healthcare IT company focused on lowering pharmacy benefit costs for self-insured employers, and their employees. We used sophisticated data analytics to identify savings opportunities making prescription drugs more affordable to our clients, and their employees, helping to improve quality of life and quality of outcome.

Successful client management is the result of determination, excellent people skills, and pride in the company’s product offering. Scripta’s portfolio of products use data analytics to review pharmacy benefit transactions allowing for better decision making both at the corporate level and at the employee level. The result is that health plans, self-insured employers, and employees save money on their pharmacy benefits every transaction, every day.

The Account Executive is responsible for the customer’s service experience with Scripta. Responsible for strategically managing clients by monitoring savings performance trends to optimize ROI. Lead quarterly business review sessions with the client and consultants. Works closely with internal partners on member engagement. Establish trusted advisor relationship with client and consultants. This includes serving as a strategic liaison between the customer and Scripta, providing expertise in plan consultations, recommendation and implementation of products, helping the client interpret data analytics from Scripta to guide decision making, coordinating with client’s PBM, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise to ensure client satisfaction with Scripta, and its offerings.

  1. Responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships, growth, profitabilityand retention through contract renewals and upselling of products and services.
  2. Responsible for strategically managing clients by monitoring savings performance trends to optimize ROI.
  3. Accountable to full understanding of client’s plan design. Work with Business Operations on the proper setup and verification of the client’s plan design.
  4. Lead meaningful client quarterly business review sessions with clients and their consultants.
  5. Works closely with internal partners on client and member issues to ensure there is a positive resolution and experience with Scripta.
  6. Establishes trusted advisor relationship with client and consultants.
  7. Strategic liaison between the client and Scripta
  8. Quarterback to understand needs of clients, manage expectations and establish a plan for deliverables.
  9. Build and maintain strong client relationships
  10. Project manage deliverables internal (Scripta) & external (client)
  11. Lead client monthly and quarterly meetings
  12. Build and maintains strong client relationships
  13. Coordinate member engagement communications
  14. Upsell Scripta product offerings
  15. Manage issue resolution

The Account Executive will also be responsible for issue management. In addition, they may be required to present/attend client open enrollment meetings. The role will be responsible for training customers on Scripta’s tools, reports, and resources, as well as communicating various administrative / service-related changes to the customer. Travel is required as needed to corporate office locations and customer locations. This position reports to the Director, Account Management.

The Account Executive will generally handle a mix of small to mid-size, standard / non-standard customers (2,000- >100,000 lives).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and establishes a professional relationship with client’s decision makers. Establishes and maintains client relationships at the appropriate levels.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationship with internal partners with all Scripta cross-functional teams to manage the customer service experience.
  • Responsible for organizing and leading meaningful client QBR meetings with clients and their consultants. Identify issues/trends and analyze root causes to determine corrective action steps.
  • Accountable to full understanding of client’s plan design and utilization management
  • programs.
  • Manage escalated issues and client service needs.
  • Train customers on Scripta products and services. Expand customer expertise and reliance on Scripta’s online tools to drive usage and adoption.
  • Participate / support new business and finalist presentations to represent service experience, or coordinate attendees from other service-related areas to support Sales team.
  • Responsible for upselling/introducing clients to new product and/or service offerings that provide value and reduce member cost on their medications.
  • Establish and maintain Broker / Consultant trusted advisor relationships.
  • Coordinate pre-implementation services and plan building with Client, Consultant/Broker.
  • Provides timely and accurate answers to issues/inquiries from internal and external sources.
  • Develops and implements a client plan that meets the goals and objectives of the client and is in alignment with Scripta business strategy
  • Support open enrollment meetings and customer sponsored health fairs for assigned customers (and as needed for multisite requests from other offices).
  • Present webinars outlining Scripta services for client’s HR teams and members as needed.
  • Demonstrate a high level of healthcare industry knowledge as well as the customer’s specific industry.
  • Perform other assignments and responsibilities as required by management

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of work experience in an account management role
  • 3+ years previous pharmacy benefit management or pharmacy consulting experience
  • Previous experience which demonstrates the ability to work with employers, consumers, pharmacy consultants, and brokers
  • Health Plan experience a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to assume control of the room
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Demonstrates salesmanship and ability to manage client objections
  • Ability to learn and convey regulatory or technical information at the level of the client, member, or healthcare professional
  • Ability to understand the importance or and maintain the confidentiality of all patient information
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to demonstrate superior presentation skills in both small and large group settings
  • Ability to assume command of a meeting and effectively change tactics when something is not working
  • Ability to use problem-solving skills, including identifying and accepting a challenging situation and creating and implementing a solution
  • Actively participates in management team meetings by providing status reports, and working to ensure tasks and client requirements are appropriately logged, tracked and on-target to meet client and Scripta objectives
  • Ability to interface with and influence internal business partners using excellent interpersonal skills
