Job TitleWe are seeking highly skilled Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics majors (or related disciplines) to join our team as Summer Interns in Atlanta, Boston, Hartford, and Washington, DC offices.About the RoleThis 10-12 week internship offers an immediate opportunity to apply analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. As an integral member of the practice, you will be exposed to assignments that develop your understanding of the multiemployer and public sector consulting environments and the broad range of actuarial services we provide.Key Responsibilities• Collaborate closely with members of the retirement practice to proofread valuation reports and provide support to ongoing actuarial valuation projects and related non-valuation assignments under the supervision of experienced actuaries.• Input data into spreadsheets, prepare government filings, research or gather information, perform benefit calculations, and withdrawal liability calculations, and be involved in QDRO calculations.RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must have:• Excellent computer and software skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications specifically Word, Excel, and Access.Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at SegalDiversity of employment, skills, and life experience, combined with passion, is key to innovation and excellence.
