Software Engineering Intern (Summer 2025)

As a Software Engineering Intern at Skyryse, you'll take on key responsibilities including designing software logic in embedded C, utilizing debugging tools, and aiding in hardware-software integration. You'll be part of cross-functional teams to generate requirements and participate in System In Loop (SIL) testing, as well as analyzing software throughput to suggest improvements. It’s a hands-on role where you’ll contribute significantly to our flight software development.

To apply for the Software Engineering Intern position at Skyryse, you must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in an engineering discipline, such as Computer Science or Software Engineering. Ideally, you should be graduating between December 2025 and June 2027. Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink is a must, and while not required, prior internship experience in aviation would be a bonus.

The Software Engineering Intern program at Skyryse lasts for 12 weeks, typically beginning in May or June, depending on your academic calendar.
