Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with a strong background in core banking systems to lead the design and implementation of data architecture artifacts. This position will involve guiding data-related projects, particularly in the context of offloading modules, migration activities, and aligning the data architecture with the bank’s Enterprise Architecture. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data modeling, data management principles, and data integration technologies to ensure the development of scalable, efficient, and secure data architectures across various data environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Architecture Implementation:
    Implement data architecture artifacts for the core banking system, focusing on offloading modules and migration activities, ensuring alignment with the bank’s Enterprise Architecture.
  • Business Requirement Analysis:
    Analyze business requirements and develop detailed architecture designs for changes or enhancements needed in various data environments (e.g., relational and dimensional databases).
  • Data Modeling:
    Design and develop both relational and dimensional data models to meet the bank’s data needs, ensuring they are efficient and scalable.
  • Data Architecture Documentation:
    Develop and document detailed data architecture artifacts that define the structure, content, metadata, planned changes/enhancements, data quality issues, master data definitions, and technical information relevant to the bank’s data environments.
  • Data Integration Design:
    Document the data design and data flows for both online and offline data integration, ensuring efficient and seamless data exchanges across systems.
  • Data Architecture Principles:
    Apply data architecture principles such as Data Management, Data Lifecycle, Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Master Data Management, Data Security, Integration, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Data Storage.
  • Data Integration and Management:
    Demonstrate a strong understanding of data integration, data management technologies, data warehousing technologies, and various database technologies.
  • Collaboration and Guidance:
    Provide expert guidance and support to project teams on data architecture, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with the bank’s strategic goals and technical architecture.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Contribute to the improvement of data architecture practices and processes, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and evolving technology trends.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of +10 of experience in data architecture, with a focus on core banking systems, data modeling, data management, and data integration.
  • Domain Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of banking systems and data environments.
    • Knowledge of offloading modules and migration activities within core banking systems is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in designing and developing relational and dimensional data models.
    • Strong experience with data integration, data management, and data warehousing technologies.
    • Familiarity with ETL processes, business intelligence, data analytics, and data storage solutions.
    • Proficiency in metadata management, master data management, and data governance.
    • Experience with data security principles and ensuring compliant data handling practices.
  • Educational Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., Data Management, Data Architecture certifications) would be a plus.
