Registered Nurse

As a Registered Nurse at The Eye Associates in Bradenton, you will be responsible for various critical tasks within our Surgery Center. This includes pre-op assessments to ensure patients are prepared for surgery, monitoring and managing patient care during procedures, and providing post-operative care to facilitate recovery. You will also be expected to cross-train for multiple roles, enhancing your skills and contributing to a cohesive team dynamic. Strong communication with patients, families, and members of the surgical team is also essential to ensure excellent care.

To secure a position as a Registered Nurse at The Eye Associates, you need to have graduated from an accredited School of Nursing. A current and unencumbered FL state or Compact License to practice as an RN is mandatory, along with a valid BLS/ACLS certification. While a minimum of two years in medical/surgical nursing is preferred, especially candidates with past experience in ophthalmology or Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC) will find themselves at an advantage.

While previous experience in ophthalmology is not strictly necessary for the Registered Nurse position at The Eye Associates, it certainly is a plus. The ideal candidate should be comfortable in a surgical environment and willing to learn the specific procedures involved in ophthalmologic care.
