JOB OVERVIEW 

All employees that hold the “Server/Prep Staff” position, are responsible for ensuring excellent customer experiences at The Sedona Real. Excellent customer experience derives from accurately and efficiently taking food/beverage orders followed by successfully fulfilling them to a high standard of quality and presentation. We welcome each guest with friendly service to provide a comfortable atmosphere in the space of Triple M. We strive to go above and beyond for each customer’s experience in The Sedona Real.   

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

  • Arrive at scheduled start time in appropriate uniform and ready to work  
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of both food & beverage menus. 
  • Complete all duties on the “Opening/Closing Checklist,” honestly initialing each task completed. 
  • Complete tasks on the daily “To-Do” 
  • Take guests’ food and beverage orders in a timely manner, assisting with any questions or special accommodation they may require.  
  • Ensure that all orders are delivered to the guests promptly to our high standards of quality and presentation. 
  • Utilize the Point-of-Sale system to manage checks and process payments. 
  • Communicate to supervisors or management whenever an issue arises including but not limited to guest conflict, employee conflict, excessive intoxication, underage alcohol service, low or no availability of food or beverages, or any situation that involves support from management, poor employee performance, low food standards, hygiene issues, etc. 
  • Complete any additional tasks as delegated by management or supervisors 
  • Attending staff meetings as scheduled by management. 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Proper food safety and hygiene guidelines must be followed at all times. Including:  
  • Wearing appropriate uniform, dating all food accurately, discarding waste or contaminated items, properly storing food, and cleaning thoroughly to ensure a sanitary space. 
  • Interact with an inviting, kind manner to ensure a positive environment. 
  • Providing guests of Sedona Real with outstanding food and beverages from our menus. 
  • Be comfortable and accurate in processing payments via cash and card methods 
  • Properly enter orders into POS system for successful sale with accurate printed ticket to the kitchen. 
  • Accurately check ID’s for age verification for any alcohol sales 
  • Any employee serving alcohol must be TIPS certified according to that state of Wyoming 
  • Possess an elevated level of detail attentiveness and an ability to communicate effectively with a team and management 
  • Be able to multi-task and complete tasks quickly and efficiently as directed 
  • Be able to work both supervised and unsupervised 
  • Be able to maintain and exceed cleanliness standards for all areas of The Triple M restaurant.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle, feel, or finger; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell.  The employee frequently is required to walk and climb or balance.  The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
