Job Description

University of Maryland Saint Joseph Medical Center (UMSJMC), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System and located in Towson, Maryland, has an excellent, full-time opportunity available for a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team.


Job Specifics:
•    Seeking an experienced, hardworking, detail-oriented NP/PA who embraces a collaborative approach to patient care.  
•    Night shift only position- eligible for weeknight and weekend night shift differentials. 
•    Join a robust team that consists of 9 total APPs, with 2 APPs scheduled each night. 
•    In-house nocturnist and intensivist support. 
•    Flexible weekend rotation 
•    NPs must be Acute Care-certified
•    Leapfrog grade ‘A’, #1 Community Hospital in Maryland, US News and World Report 
•    Launching APP Professional Development Model which will include opportunities for advancement!

Qualifications

Education

  • Master's Degree (Required)

Certification / Licensure / Registration

  • Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License (Required)

Experience and Skills

  • 2 - 4 years’ previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant working in internal medicine preferably in a hospital setting (Preferred)
  • Internal Medicine Training experience (Preferred)
  • Strong Verbal Communications Skills, Strong Written Communications Skills, Excellent
  • Interpersonal Skills, Basic Computer Skills, Excellent Organizational Skills, Strong Customer Services Skills,
  • Proven Analytical Skills
