Job Description

General Summary
Under frequent supervision, the patient care technician is a multi-skilled individual who provides a wide variety of clinical tasks/procedures for the patient as a member of the patient care team. The PCT provides any basic patient care duties and assists with tasks to assist with the progression of the patient’s plan of care. Patient populations served include infant through adult- elderly.

Reporting Relationships
Reports to RN for specific patient related duties. Overall supervision from manager of patient care unit.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Current Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON) CNA certification. Current CPR certification required or obtained within five (5) days from date of hire;. Satisfactory score on BWMC’s Human Resource’s written screening test and competency validation assessment.
