Who will you be working with?

Our best-in-class IT team is looking for a Product Delivery Manager to join Wabtec and build out the next generation of our platforms. They will be a key leader for our Information Technology (IT) function focused on driving and communicating product strategy, leading cross-functional projects and programs related to core technologies like VMware, OpenShift, Red Hat Linux, and Oracle.

How will you make a difference?

The ideal candidate is a hands-on project manager, has significant experience in developing software solutions and IT third-party technical relationship management. The successful candidate must have strong firsthand expertise in software development and understanding complex enterprise systems. They must be at ease working in an Agile/hybrid-agile environment with little supervision. They should embody a passion for continuous improvement and data-driven efforts.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Technical program and product management experience, specifically in the software engineering space.
  • Experience in documenting product requirements for both IT and product applications in a medium to large-scale organization.
  • Proven experience working in both Agile and Waterfall project management environments.
  • Practical skills in product requirement gathering, analysis, and documentation for infrastructure-related hardware and software products.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent project management and program delivery skills, including experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to present to and influence leadership.
  • Proficient in data analysis and using insights to drive continuous improvement of HR technology offerings.
  • PMP, Scrum, or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience working in a global, matrixed organization
  • Exposure to IT technology implementation and change management
  • Strong technical background and understanding of IT infrastructure architectures in the Public Cloud, VMware and physical on-premises.
  • Excellent Communication and Presentation skills.
  • Advanced/Fluent English.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Manage complex, multi-workstream projects and programs to drive the implementation and adoption of new IT technologies.
    • Coordinate efforts for the complete project and product lifecycle, from conception to delivery and ongoing maintenance.
    • Translate product needs into quality requirements for stakeholders and project teams.
    • Facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders to review requirements, deliverables, issues, and risks.
    • Adherence to IT PMO standards and requirements.
    • Budget management, delivering projects on time, on budget, with quality.
  • Own the product roadmap and strategy for key IT platforms and services.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define requirements, prioritize initiatives, and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from IT leadership to business partners.
  • Leverage data and user insights to make informed decisions and continuously improve the IT offerings.
  • Define solution boundaries and scope of deliverables.
  • Specification and documentation of functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Assist technically in training and coaching professional and technical staff.
  • Accountable for the DevOps lifecycle of managed applications, including handover of sustain structure to third parties or other support teams.
