Salary and benefits

Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum

We offer hybrid working with most colleagues onsite 3 days each week. For those living beyond a commutable distance, we are open to discussing more flexible arrangements based on experience and ability.  

What you will do

  • Work with Business Analysts and Product Owners to capture and playback business requirements.
  • Translate functional requirements into technical requirements and gain agreement from Product Owners.
  • Work with Solution Architects to design and document solutions for new capabilities, integrations, and data flows.
  • Design, develop, and extend Salesforce custom solutions using Lightning components, Apex code, and Apex Triggers.
  • Document solutions and provide support, including knowledge transfer to Salesforce Admins.
  • Ensure solutions are high quality, optimised, secure, scalable, and future proof.
  • Cover the full application lifecycle, including design, development, change control, UAT, deployment, and support.
  • Support Salesforce Administrators with high-priority issues and bugs.
  • Stay updated with the latest Salesforce platform updates and best practices.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the team's software management processes.

What you will bring

  • Excellent verbal and written skills, able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues, at all levels
  • Proactive and friendly communicator with the ability to influence decision-making and shape future solutions.
  • Demonstrable developer experience on the Salesforce (SFDC) platform and its partner ecosystem.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce applications, including Lightning components, configuration, triggers, process builders, Visualforce, Apex coding, data loader, batch processes, and database design.
  • Experience developing and delivering solutions in Salesforce Experience Cloud.
  • Experience in developing solutions that assist with driving business efficiency, such as using service cloud functionality for case management
  • Good understanding of software development and project life cycle, particularly Agile methodology and SCRUM framework.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer certification. 

It would be nice for you to have

  • Experience in using MS Azure DevOps.
  • Experience of automation platforms and telephony integrations.
  • Experience of SFDC Financial Services Cloud and/or the financial services industry.
