Senior Business Development Manager

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Min Experience: 3 years

Location: Bengaluru, Gurgaon

JobType: full-time

We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Senior Business Development Manager to drive growth in our renewable energy vertical. The role will focus on expanding our footprint across Forecasting & Scheduling services and Environmental Markets (including IRECs and Carbon Credits). You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, and supporting strategic initiatives across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong understanding of the renewable energy domain, including energy forecasting, scheduling, and environmental markets like IRECs and Carbon Credits.
  • Create and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive new client acquisition across key IPPs and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with regional BD teams to ensure cohesive and aligned efforts in market expansion.
  • Represent the organization at key regulatory forums, including CERC, SERCs, and State Nodal Agencies.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential opportunities and provide strategic inputs to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Prepare compelling presentations, reports, and client-facing documents as needed.
  • Draft detailed proposals, engagement letters, and service agreements for both new and existing clients.
  • Maintain and nurture strong relationships with current clients to drive retention and upselling opportunities.
  • Be willing to travel extensively, including to remote locations, as part of client and regulatory engagement.

  • Educational background: B.Tech in Electrical or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles within the power or renewable energy sector.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Proficient in CRM tools and account management.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and other analytical tools.
