Location: New York 

Salary Range:  $160,000 - $185,000

Hybrid work: Employees work in a hybrid model balancing collaboration in our office and remote work.

About the Role  

WildBrain’s portfolio spans all areas of the entertainment industry: Studios, where we produce hit animated and live actions series’; WildBrain Television, which is composed of prominent kids’ television channels in Canada, celebrated global licensing and distribution teams, and a leading children’s YouTube network in WildBrain.  

The Sales Director at WildBrain is a direct sales role responsible for exceeding quarterly and annual advertising revenue targets. In this role you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and nurturing existing relationships to create and close ad revenue with both agency partners and clients directly in the kids and family content space. 

The successful candidate will be a passionate, digitally savvy, consultative resource who understands how to package and sell across the total video sales ecosystem including programmatic, direct and custom content. The successful candidate will also craft bespoke in-game integrations within our network of O&O games on Roblox. 

Job Description

  • Deliver and exceed sales revenue targets. 

  • Build, manage and grow a strategic account list inclusive of current partners as well as new business. 

  • Devise an individual sales strategy that proactively identifies short-term & long-term opportunities, building a pipeline of revenue. 

  • Develop strategic relationships with your clients, understanding their business, their challenges and their needs. 

  • Become familiar with the "Made for Kids" content marketplace and related compliance regulations and WildBrain IP. 

  • Manage all client communication, from initial outreach to client meetings/follow ups, RFP responses, post campaign analysis and renewals. 

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholder teams: Sales marketing, ad ops, data etc. 

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the digital advertising sales industry with proven success in selling and building strong relationships with agency holding groups as well as key clients directly. 

  • Strong understanding of the streaming media landscape including AVOD, OTT, OLV and custom content. 

  • Strong relationships and network of video investment buyers  

  • Strong presentation skills and ability to sell through ideas to clients. 

  • 'Made for kids' experience preferred but not essential  

  • Excited by a fast-paced environment. 

  • Solutions oriented with strong problem-solving skills. 

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and analytical skills. 

  • Must possess strong leadership and time management skills.
