Overview:

We are looking for an experienced B2B Event / Field Marketing Manager to build a high-impact events program that drives brand awareness, thought leadership, and leads. We currently participate in 5-10 events (including conferences and tradeshows) per quarter and want to expand the quality and impact of our presence. You will help select the events, build processes, and play a hands-on role managing pre and post event activities. You will work with product marketing, graphic design, and sales + customer success teams on planning, design, and event staffing.

This position is full time and reports to the CMO (based in San Francisco), and can be located anywhere in the US.

Role:

  • Create and manage plans for participation in events (tradeshows, conferences, webinars) across the US, Europe, and Asia (there will be minimal travel requirements)

  • Procure / negotiate exhibitor and sponsorship packages

  • Set individual and overall event program goals, including budget and lead objectives

  • Create detailed event project plans with tasks, dates, and owners

  • Manage pre-event logistics, promotion (e.g., social posts, email, website), and post event lead follow up

  • Capture photos / videos of Wordly in action at events for use on social media

  • Conduct post mortems to identify event specific and general process improvements 

  • Create reports on key event program metrics

  • Create plans for joint event participation with partners and Wordly owned events (e.g., roadshow, dinners, etc.)

  • Identify creative ways to fund event participation, including negotiating in-kind service exchange with event organizers

Skill Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience managing participation at B2B events for a tech company - including conferences, tradeshows, webinars, and company owned regional events - roadshows, dinners, etc.

  • Experience purchasing booth furniture, designing signage, managing AV requirements

  • Excellent planning & project management skills - ability to multi task and manage multiple events at the same time

  • Excellent writing skills - event briefs, speaker proposals, blog posts, social posts, landing pages, email, web pages

  • Hands-on experience with Excel / Sheets, PowerPoint / Slides, Word /Google Docs

  • Experience using Hubspot is a plus
