Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a Traveling Field Management Superintendent professional that would like to develop and advance in their respective career. We are proud to offer our staff exciting and challenging projects and employment opportunities.   The position will require 100 percent on-site and you will be traveling full time, and the projects can span the entire United States.  

Our global clients and their projects are diverse and interesting. They span market sectors and geographies and require innovative technical solutions to solve wide-ranging environmental problems within diverse community profiles.

The successful individual who occupies this role will be responsible for the organization and direction of construction and related activities within the assigned area of responsibility, which may be a single-area, multi-area or multi-discipline construction project. 

We are looking to add a member to the Field Management team. You would be the primary client contact for all jobsite day-to-day activities or may coordinate with the client’s resident representatives on jobsite activities within assigned areas of operations. 

The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide overall on-site administrative and technical management for a wide range of construction projects.        
  • Responsible for the organization and direction of construction and related activities within assigned area of responsibility, which may be a single area, multi-area or a multi-discipline construction project. 
  • Responsibilities are to ensure assigned job site operations are in compliance with design/specifications, completed on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards. 
  • May be the primary client contact for all jobsite day to day activities, or may coordinate with client’s resident representatives on jobsite activities within assigned area of operations. 
  • Interfaces with all other administrative field staff, field management staff, and particularly the Project Manager in a coordinated effort.
  • Manage field crews and craft labor between 5 to 30 person
  • Manage workflows and data 
  • Project roles will vary including technical support and leading tasks
  • Comfortable working with a team toward a common goal, while working independently on individual tasks

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS Degree and 6+ years of related experience and/or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or/education
  • This role is subject to Background, MVR and Medical Surveillance screenings

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 15 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or/education
  • Travel up to 100% to and from work sites required.
  • OSHA 40-hr Hazardous Waste certification.
  • Field remedial construction experience
  • OSHA 30 hour construction health and safety
  • Experience with CERCLA and RCRA remediation programs at complex sites
