About This Role
As our Web App QA Specialist, you'll be a key part of our product and development teams. You’ll work closely with engineers and product managers to develop and execute test strategies, ensuring our tools are functional, user-friendly, and bug-free. This role is ideal for someone who’s detail-oriented, analytical, and excited to be part of a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
You’ll play a critical role in making sure that every release delivers a smooth and reliable experience for both our customers and internal teams.
Role & Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Planning
Collaborate cross-functionally with development and product management teams to design detailed, requirement-driven test plans and corresponding test cases.
Scope, prioritize, and schedule testing activities to ensure comprehensive coverage across all feature sets and use cases.
Test Execution & Validation
Perform a combination of manual and automated testing to uncover functional bugs, integration inconsistencies, and performance bottlenecks.
Execute test cases meticulously and document outcomes with accuracy and traceability.
Performance, Usability & User Experience
Assess application performance under varying loads, identifying latency, throughput, and stability concerns.
Evaluate product usability from a user-centric perspective and provide actionable feedback to enhance the overall user experience.
Defect Identification & Resolution
Isolate and report defects with detailed reproduction steps, logs, and context to enable rapid triage and resolution.
Partner closely with developers to track bug resolution lifecycle and validate issue fixes across builds.
Regression & Continuous Quality
Conduct regression testing to ensure new code deployments do not introduce regressions or destabilize existing functionality.
Support continuous integration efforts by contributing to automated regression suites where applicable.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation of test cases, test results, bug reports, and testing methodologies.
Contribute to QA process improvements through insights gained during the testing lifecycle.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as a quality advocate, working in lockstep with engineers, designers, and product managers to uphold a high standard of software reliability and user delight.
Qualifications & Experience
Strong command of modern web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web application architecture.
Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, and reproducible bug reports that accelerate issue resolution.
Experience testing across desktop and mobile web platforms, with an eye toward responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
Familiarity with industry-standard bug tracking and project management platforms such as Jira, Trello, or equivalents.
Bonus: Hands-on experience with diverse testing methodologies such as functional, regression, performance, and exploratory testing.
Bonus: Exposure to test automation frameworks and CI/CD tools is a strong plus.
Must be both a people and dog lover!
