The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for a Wire Design & Install Engineer to the MQ-25 Advanced Team located in Hazelwood, MO.
Boeing is currently hiring for a MQ-25 Electrical Design Engineer located in Hazelwood, MO to be a part of the MQ-25 Electrical & Equipment team.
The MQ-25 Stingray is a new autonomous, unmanned carrier based refueling air vehicle. The selected engineer will be a part of aviation history by helping our Navy customer productization Autonomous Carrier landing, takeoff and refueling capabilities. The MQ-25 program is currently building the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) vehicles for the Navy. Additional work is under way for the beginning of the System Demonstration Test Article (SDTA+) and Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) programs for additional vehicles.
The MQ-25 Electrical & Equipment team is responsible for the power architecture & design, electrical equipment technical management, electrical installation design, wire harness design, and integrating avionics and other equipment into the vehicle.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate and Experienced Wire Design & Install Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
Work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements
Analyze and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications
Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
Solve problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
Research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs
Develop and maintain cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs
Analyze results and performs design reviews
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Associate (Level 2): 2+ years of work related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s OR work related engineering experience with a Master’s
Experienced (Level 3) : 5+ years of work related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s OR 3+ years of work related engineering experience with a Master’s OR work related engineering experienced with a PhD
Experience in wiring design
Experience on aircraft development/modification programs
Experience in technical oversight of electrical systems supplier
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in Siemens Capital Wiring design software
Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering field
Typical Education/Experience:
(Level 2) Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
(Level 3) Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range (Associate, level 2): $79,900 - $108,100
Summary pay range (Experienced, level 3): $96,050 - $129,950
