The meaningful work you will tackle:
  • Manage daily activities for all Brightside banking operations, including but not limited to: negative balances, ACH returns (R01 and other), suspected fraud, Falcon Debit card alerts, Card/ATM/ACH Disputes, and KYC/OFAC discrepancies
  • Direct client communication is  required as a result of any of the above named functions, as well as the fielding and handling of any escalations related to Brightside offered banking products while consistently considering the Brightside mission
  • Risk analysis and decisioning related to at-risk bank accounts, locking/unlocking of users and accounts, voiding transactions, and account closure/funds issuance 
  • Continuous assessment, monitoring, and improvement of Brightside financial product policies and processes to minimize risk
  • All client communication related to regulatory/compliance related activities, including but not limited to: change in account terms and conditions, interest rate changes, tax form availability, and banking partner migrations
  • Monitoring of Brightside banking portfolio to measure and improve: time to resolution for banking operations tasks, total program losses and recommendations for improvement, effectiveness of financial product policies/procedures, and overall risk in the platform


What we’re looking for in your background & what makes you a success:
  • Reg E Dispute Resolution Expertise – Strong knowledge of Regulation E and EFT dispute handling processes, including investigation, provisional credit issuance, and resolution timelines.
  • Banking Operations Experience – Hands-on experience in payments processing, ACH transactions, chargebacks, fraud prevention, card management, KYC/OFAC, and compliance-related operational workflows.
  • Fintech or Banking Industry Background – Previous experience working in a fintech, digital bank, or traditional financial institution with exposure to evolving regulatory and risk management challenges.
  • Process Improvement & Risk Mitigation – Proven ability to analyze and optimize banking operation workflows, identify operational inefficiencies, and implement risk controls to reduce losses and ensure compliance.
  • Systems & Vendor Management – Familiarity with banking core systems, dispute management platforms, fraud detection tools, and working with third-party processors (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, ACH networks).
