Your Job: 


As Event Marketing Manager, you will play a critical role in successful planning and execution of our Brooks' Event Marketing and Sports Marketing efforts across the Central Territory (DACH = Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and support the plan to reinforce Brooks’ credibility and authenticity in the sport of running. You will develop and provide local strategic insights to form our Event and Sports Marketing strategy by identifying and partnering with key events and activations that advance our brand and business goals and ensure execution leverages our sponsored athletes and Sports Marketing programs. You deeply understand runners - where and when they run - and explore new and innovative ways to connect with them and inspire them to choose Brooks. 


You will manage the DACH Event Marketing Specialist supporting their successful execution of responsibilities and professional growth and development. 



Your Responsibilities:
  • Execute the Global Event and Sports Marketing strategy to ensure alignment with global goals while considering regional differences. 
  • Plan and monitor Events and Sports Marketing budget, including planning and tracking expenses, to ensure activations and athlete programs align with the overall brand strategy. 
  • Coordinate the event order management, ensuring apparel, promotional items, and branding materials are in place. 
  • Serve as the main contact for event partners, managing internal meetings and processes to ensure smooth execution.
  • Oversee the DACH athlete programs, including scouting, recruitment, contract negotiations, and event appearances, in close collaboration with the Sports Marketing EMEA Lead.
  • Support the Manager, Marketing, Central Europe in developing the annual roadmap for Events & Sports Marketing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs). 
  • Work cross-functionally on key event activations such as the Marathon Munich, ensuring product needs, forecasts, and inventory fulfillment are aligned.
  • Identify storytelling opportunities around athletes and events, liaise with EMEA and the Marketing Manager to bring them to life. 
  • Work with creative, social, digital, influencer and PR teams to ensure integration of program assets and storytelling align with our brand: Across Athletes & Events. 
  • Act as the liaison between Brooks and external agencies to ensure seamless execution and on-target branding for event activations. 
  • Lead execution of Brooks’ presence at all events (sponsored and key trade and brand events)– including the booth layout, product sales, sufficient trained staff, product orders (official merchandise and in-line). 
  • At owned events, execute the activation for the entire runner experience from booth set up, merchandising, branding, POS, staffing, etc. 
  • Administer Brooks’ sponsorship programs by ensuring contractual agreements are maintained and reviewed annually. Support the negotiation of existing contracts in collaboration with the Manager and Legal team, ensuring alignment with brand and business goal.
  • Evaluate opportunities proposed to Brooks for race events, sponsorships, and athlete enquiries. Identify opportunities that best align with our strategy and provide recommendations to Marketing Manager. 
  • Track event KPIs and analyze results to ensure that business objectives are met. Identify opportunities and implement changes that will drive growth. 
  • Continuously innovate and identify opportunities to streamline and automate our event activation processes and to leverage existing data and learnings for future events. 
  • Plan, present, and activate consumer related promotions at DACH Events. 
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects that help drive brand awareness and sales. 
  • Direct line management responsibility for the Event Marketing Specialist, DACH ensuring seamless execution of responsibilities and providing coaching and mentorship to build their skillsets and grow their career. 


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a marketing role.
  • 2+ years of experience planning and executing big scale events.
  • 1+ years of experience management experience preferred.
  • Expertise in multi-tasking and working effectively in a fast-paced and international team environment. 
  • Validated initiative and organizational skills with an eye for detail.
  • Creativity and innovation regarding new marketing initiatives for events and athlete programs.
  • Ability to work professionally and efficiently with internal and external stakeholders such as company partners, event organizers, agencies, and athletes.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English, both verbal and written.
  • Organizational skills are demonstrable experience are critical. 
  • Computer proficiency required with MS Office. 
  • A passion for the running enthusiast and active lifestyle.
  • Ability to travel frequently; up to 50%.
