Job Description

💰 Pay Range: $21.80 - $25.65/hour

If you love planning engaging activities, building relationships, and making a difference in a vibrant senior community, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and lead exciting, meaningful activities that cater to residents' interests and needs.

  • Collaborate with other departments to create a well-rounded, engaging program.

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for A/L and SNF.

  • Recognize and address the unique needs of residents to enhance their quality of life.

  • Develop and maintain a fun, interactive monthly event calendar.

  • Work with the volunteer coordinator to bring in valuable community involvement.

  • Manage supplies, coordinate purchases, and ensure activities run smoothly.

  • Conduct resident assessments to personalize programs and activities.

  • Drive the bus for scenic rides and group outings (CDL preferred but not required).

  • Support hiring, training, and supervision of assigned staff under the director’s guidance.

What We’re Looking For

Passion for enhancing residents' lives through meaningful engagement.
2+ years of experience in creating and managing programs for seniors.
Strong leadership skills – experience in team supervision and relationship building.
Knowledge of state and federal regulations for A/L and SNF is a plus!
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred) to drive the resident bus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with basic technology.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 1-year experience in social or recreational programming.
  • 1-year experience working with senior adults.
  • Appropriate licensure to drive facility bus; CDL preferred.
  • Ability to work with all residents and families to evaluate residents’ needs.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
  • Knowledgeable with computer applications; Microsoft Office.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Moderate physical effort required by handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
  • Sits, stands, bends and moves intermittently during working hours.
  • Is subject to frequent interruptions.
  • Interacts with residents, family members, visitors frequently.
