Maintenance Mechanic

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Pay: $33+.hr base of skill set!

  • WEEKLY PAY.
  • Eligible for annual wage increases.
  • Potential for additional increases based on satisfactory performance.

  • On average our Maintenance Mechanics, with their hourly wage plus overtime, have the potential to earn over $85,000 per year.

Shift:

4th Shift:

  • Friday through Sunday 10pm to 10am - could also work Thursday or Monday 10pm to 10am (your choice)

What you will be doing:

  • Keep machinery, equipment, and plant structure in operating condition to support production.  Such plant equipment includes battery manufacturing equipment of all types and plant utilities.
  • Adhere to all safety standards including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, respirator).
  • Diagnose and repair a wide variety of machines, equipment, and systems to restore and sustain intended function, productivity, and quality.  Mechanical equipment includes structure, enclosures, controllers, actuators, sensors, utilities, and communication.  May use replacement parts or make replacement parts as required.
  • Use test equipment for troubleshooting, problem solving, equipment status, and performance.
  • May be required to repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, compressed gas, heating, and cooling equipment.  Maintain and install piping, fittings, valves, gauges, conduit, junction boxes, power, control, and communication cables.
  • Adjust machines for production when adjustment is beyond scope of the operator.
  • Install new equipment or modifies existing equipment, including power, control and utilities.
  • Use hand tools and common machine shop tools.  May be required to set up and operate the following machines: lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinder, power saws, welder, etc., and improvise where equipment is limited.
  • Perform preventive, corrective, predictive, and condition monitoring activities.  Ability to follow written instructions, specifications, and schematics, then document findings and actions.
  • Fabricate and repair with sheet metal, plastic, or wood as needed.
  • Create work orders, and enter data on work orders for labor hours, materials, failure and cause codes, document what was done and what remains to be done.

  • Ethical conduct, problem solving mindset, and technical capability.
  • 2+ years maintenance mechanic experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical or electrical problems is required.
  • Technical training to include mechanical and/or electrical, and PLC logic preferred.
  • Ability to work all shifts up to 12 hours including weekends preferred, as overtime may be required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., bend and stoop to access equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand all production specifications, blueprints and wiring diagrams required.
  • Ability to record required data neatly and accurately.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Must be able to supply your own tools.
  • Basic math, reading and writing skills required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
