We believe that our differences enable us to be a better team – one that makes better decisions, drives innovation and delivers better business results.Opportunity OverviewWe are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer Intern to work closely with the Mechanical Engineering Group, which is responsible for developing our Semiconductor Test Systems. As a member of Mechanical Engineering Group, the Mechanical Engineer Intern will have a hand in many ongoing projects and day to day tasks. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to the installed base of existing Semiconductor Test platforms.This Internship role will work closely with the core R&D Group to support ongoing development activities and projects related to latest generation CPU/GPUs, AI tensor core and High Performance Computing hardware. This role will support the Thermal and Heat Transfer team in design and deployment of precision lab instrumentation.• The role is based out of our office in North Reading, MA and requires on-site presence.• We are not able to provide relocation assistance.• The internship duration is approximately 3-4 monthsAll About YouWe seek individuals who share our passion and determination. If you’re ready to join us in this mission, take a closer look at the minimum criteria for the position.• Must be at least in second year of school (ideally third or fourth year), working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering.• Good understanding of fundamental engineering principles and first principles as related to heat transfer and forced convection cooling• Assisting in assembly and validation of Engineering prototypes• Use SolidWorks to create parts, assemblies and drawings• Ability to or interest in learning about CFD & FEA simulations (SolidWorks, ANSYS, COMSOL)• Previous experience with 3D Printing• Work towards adding experimental capabilities via automation designs• Participate in team meetings, and present quantitative and qualitative findings in an organized and professional manner• Managing and maintaining Mechanical Engineering lab space• Demonstrated proficiency in SolidWorks part creation, drawings, and large assemblies• Knowledge of drafting and design standards (ANSI Y14.5 GD & T)• Understanding of design for assembly and manufacturing (DFA and DFM principles)• Willingness to learn NI Labview, data processing automation (Python, MinitTab)• Knowledge of measurement systems and techniques• Strong ability to communicate• Ability to quickly learn and apply new information• Ability to manage their time• Positive attitude• Enjoys hands on approach toward engineeringWe are only considering candidates local to position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position.This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.#LI-DNI
