Position Summary 

 

Leads the Aftermarket Sales & Inside Sales team, performs customer service and leadership related duties as designated by the Senior Vice President - Aftermarket Operations. Has responsibilities in the following functional areas: sales, recruitment, employee relations, relationship management, performance management, training, leadership, team building, and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and manages the Aftermarket Sales & Inside Sales team, including but not limited to setting department budget, assigning projects to team members, conducting performance reviews, setting department goals, training, mentoring, and coaching department members, and managing direct reports
  • Develops sales targets and a business plan to achieve them
  • Provides strategic leadership to team activities; monitors and reports on performance and metrics
  • Assigns accounts and ensures sales team has clear operating objectives and goals
  • Develops a long-term plan to increase Aftermarket sales, including support, service, parts, rebuilds, and modernizations, and expansions
  • Ensures proposals are reflective of clients’ needs and ensures clarity of scope / definition and acceptance criteria of associated projects
  • Maintains a forecast and business plan addressing fiscal year plans and objectives
  • Travels up to 30%

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience; experience leading a sales team a plus
  • Knowledge of material handling industry
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to lead, manage, coach, and train all levels of employees 
  • Strong knowledge of all Daifuku technology and business operations 
  • Knowledge of budgets and accounting principles 
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets 
  • Strong presentation skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and after training, proficiency in the use of Microsoft Dynamics CRM  
  • Ability to interface with internal and external customers, vendors and executive management 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines 
  • Team-oriented and collaborative 
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
