In this specialized role, you will be pivotal in designing high-quality truss systems for residential and commercial construction projects. Your expertise in creating detailed and structurally sound designs will contribute significantly to the success and growth of our projects and clients. ABOUT THE TRUSS DESIGNER ROLE

  • Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
  • Understand structural load transfer.
  • Produce individual designs and final layouts for wall, roof, and floor systems.
  • Provide engineering support to customers when needed.
  • Resolve architectural and design discrepancies if they arise.
  • On occasion, Truss Designers meet with customers to review plans and answer any questions they may have.
  • Prepares drawings for manufacturing and production teams.
  • Prepares field layout for on-site installers.
  • Maintains a high level of communication with all of the above parties.
  • Truss Designers assist with other tasks as needed.
  • Think of yourself as a virtual builder, building homes virtually before the material hits the job site.

ABOUT YOUR WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Alpine and iStruct design software experience is a PLUS, but not a requirement.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite; specifically Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Understanding of building codes and relevant industry standards.
  • Your background involves putting customers first.
  • You have been a HUGE contributor to the success of a team.
