Job Description

THE POSITION:

The Manager, Compliance and Regulatory is responsible for leading quality and compliance efforts across multiple client projects teams in within Deployment Solutions, ensuring adherence to all relevant local and federal regulations. This role will oversee auditing and monitoring activities for varied client teams, such as Field and Virtual Sales, MSLs, Market Access, and Reimbursement teams, while maintaining a robust compliance framework. The Manager will work cross-functionally to support client team deployments and provide ongoing compliance support. Additionally, the Manager will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop, implement, and enforce policies, SOPs, and best practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead Client-Focused Compliance Initiatives: collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish, implement, and oversee compliance frameworks for field and virtual sales teams, MSLs, market access, and reimbursement teams; provide ongoing guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with regulatory and client requirements
  • Drive Strategic Project Collaborations: partner with project teams in the design, development, and delivery of client solutions, aligning compliance considerations with broader business objectives to successfully execute deliverables
  • Engage directly with clients and senior leadership to guide compliance strategies, proactively address regulatory inquiries, and influence decisions that mitigate risk and ensure alignment with industry standards and client objectives
  • Develop and Execute Comprehensive Compliance Training: design, implement, and deliver standardized and customized compliance training initiatives tailored specifically for sales teams, MSLs, market access, and reimbursement teams, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and client-specific policies
  • Continuously update and refine training content to incorporate regulatory changes, emerging industry best practices, and client requirements
  • Operationalize and Oversee Registration, Licensing & Disclosures: establish, implement, and manage state and local registration, licensing, and disclosure processes, ensuring comprehensive compliance with all applicable regulatory mandates
  • Leverage AI-Based Analytics: employ AI-driven tools and data analytics to proactively monitor compliance risks, detect anomalies, and guide strategic decision-making
  • Interpret data trends and insights to identify actionable compliance enhancements, drive risk mitigation strategies, and improve overall effectiveness
  • Internal and Client Audits: coordinate internal and external client audits in partnership with relevant stakeholders; analyze audit findings, collaborate on remediation plans, and track corrective actions to completion.
  • Develop and Enhance Compliance Policies and SOPs: draft, refine, and enforce Level 2 compliance policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and guidance documents, partnering closely with Legal, HR, Quality, and Deployment Solutions teams to ensure consistent interpretation, application, and alignment across the organization
  • Monitor and Adapt to the Regulatory Landscape: continuously track regulatory developments and evolving compliance best practices; proactively update compliance strategies and frameworks to anticipate emerging risks, ensure regulatory readiness, and sustain best-in-class compliance standards.
  • Risk Mitigation and Strategic Innovation: investigate root causes of compliance issues, collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement sustainable solutions, and proactively drive process innovations to mitigate risks
  • Identify, develop, and implement strategic improvements that align compliance processes with long-term business objectives, proactively manage risks, and enhance client satisfaction
  • Lead Compliance Communication and Awareness Initiatives: develop and deliver strategic communications to ensure broad organizational understanding of compliance expectations, policy updates, and regulatory changes, reinforcing a proactive compliance culture
  • Monitor and Report Compliance Metrics: establish and track key compliance indicators (KCIs) to measure effectiveness, proactively identify emerging risks, and provide actionable insights
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • Education: BA/BS degree
  • Experience and/or Training:
  • 8-9 years of professional experience, including at least 7 years dedicated compliance experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences compliance role, with proven success leading complex cross-functional initiatives  
  • Demonstrated expertise in regulatory frameworks (e.g., FDA regulations, HHS-OIG Guidelines, PhRMA Code, AdvaMed, and State Laws) and strategic oversight of compliance in dynamic environments
  • In-depth understanding of federal and state transparency and disclosure requirements, (e.g., Physician Payments Sunshine Act and state-level licensing, registration and disclosure mandates)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to influence clients and executive stakeholders and effectively drive organizational changes at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrating proven capability to interpret and analyze large data sets, leveraging insights to inform strategic decision-making and proactively shape compliance strategies
  • Familiarity with AI-driven analytics tools for compliance monitoring, data analysis, and risk detection
  • Experience drafting, updating, and enforcing compliance policies and SOPs, as well as developing and implementing compliance training
  • Strong collaboration skills and program management expertise, effectively working with cross-functional teams to prioritize multiple initiatives with competing priorities
  • Comprehensive experience with key pharmaceutical compliance elements, including written standards, training, effective communication, auditing, monitoring, and corrective action
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, with a keen attention to detail when handling confidential matters; able to adapt style and tactics based on the situation.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills, forging collaborative relationships across all levels and functions of the organization.
  • Effectively prepares and presents analytical communications, both written and oral, tailored for diverse audiences.
  • Technology/Equipment: Expert knowledge of Microsoft Suite

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: MBA, or related discipline
  • Experience and/or Training: Preferred experience working in a Contract Sales Organization (CSO) or similar environment, with compliance oversight for field-based teams such as sales, MSLs, and market access.
  • Technology/Equipment: Concur, Power BI, Concur, Rise 360, Smart Sheet, Sales Force

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The physical and mental requirements along with the work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.

Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands.

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $121,000 to $150,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S.  The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position.  Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living).  EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
