We are looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to engage and qualify inbound leads, assist with lead assignments, and arrange meetings for the sales team. This role will also work closely with sales and marketing to find new opportunities, research their businesses thoroughly, contact key buyer personas through LinkedIn, email, and phone, introduce the value proposition to decision makers, and ultimately, set up qualified meetings and product demonstrations. We are looking for a great team player who is positive, self-motivated, energetic and a quick learner with commitment to quality and dedication to long-term success.
What you’ll be doing:
Contact and qualify top of funnel leads from marketing campaigns, qualifying prospects, and document detailed results in the customer management (CRM) system, in a timely matter.
Research, engage, and qualify prospects whose needs align with First Orion solutions.
Reach a target set of prospects via email, cold calls & social media; establish rapport; and schedule meetings with key buyer personas for sales.
Field incoming inquiries through our inbound channels.
Become knowledgeable of company’s products and target industries to facilitate sales efforts.
Use time efficiently to meet goals and work collaboratively with other team members.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the Sales & Marketing team.
What you’ll need:
Passion for sales, preferably with an interest in SaaS and technology, always on the lookout for new prospects.
Ability to learn new skills and adapt to changing environments.
Strong verbal and written communicator with impeccable interpersonal skills.
Comfortable engaging in conversations with business leaders and management.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Competent computer utilization skills including the importance of maintaining accurate information in a database.
Able to make good judgments based on evidence and available knowledge.
Possesses confidence, professionalism, motivation, and eagerness to succeed.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Bonus points:
Familiarity with selling high value, long lead time enterprise solutions software or high value services.
At least one (1) year of phone selling or customer support experience.
Familiarity with Salesforce application.
