We’re looking for a Commodity Buyer – Sourcing Metals to support our sourcing and procurement team in driving efficiency, optimizing supplier partnerships, and contributing to cost-effective decision-making. How You'll Create Possibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the stampings buyers by managing the Electronic-Request for Quote (RFQ) system, tracking progress, and providing updates.
  • Collaborate with buyers to maintain supplier risk profiles and update the supplier risk portal.
  • Communicate weekly raw material forecasts and track inventory/payables using Oracle ERP ASNs.
  • Partner with buyers and the Should Cost team to develop and maintain cost models for existing and new parts.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) are in place and recorded in the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system.
  • Assist in price impact analysis and update Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs).
  • Provide market insights by tracking commodity trends and pricing updates.
  • Lead analysis and execution of supplier consolidation efforts for improved efficiency.
  • Support additional sourcing projects and strategic initiatives as needed.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or two years of relevant experience in sourcing, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and drive impactful results.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools to analyze data, build reports, and create presentations.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive, team-oriented approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous direct experience in sourcing, or work collaborating in sourcing systems and processes.
  • Two years of experience as a GE Appliances co-op with strong performance or Supply Chain Development Program (SCDP) graduate.

Travel Requirement: Up to 10% travel (domestic and international) to affiliate sites and suppliers.
