Certified Personal Coach

As a Certified Personal Coach at GOLFTEC, your primary responsibilities include graduating from our comprehensive GOLFTEC University training program, utilizing advanced technology to help students improve their golf skills, and tailoring lesson plans to fit each individual's needs. Additionally, you will conduct club fittings and outdoor lessons, create a welcoming environment for students, and support a team-oriented atmosphere.

To qualify for the position of Certified Personal Coach at GOLFTEC, you should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in golf instruction or club fitting. Familiarity with golf swing mechanics is highly preferred, and strong communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with students. PGA/LPGA affiliation is a plus but not mandatory.

GOLFTEC provides a comprehensive training experience through GOLFTEC University, where you’ll learn essential skills from top golf instructors in the industry. This program combines on-the-job training in our centers with in-person sessions at GOLFTEC HQ. You'll gain insights into the latest teaching technologies and methodologies to enhance your coaching practices.

The compensation for Certified Personal Coaches at GOLFTEC includes a base hourly rate, along with monthly commissions and bonus opportunities, with an estimated total compensation range of $50,000-$60,000. Coaches also enjoy excellent benefits including health insurance, 401(k) plans with employer matching, paid time off, and continuing education allowances.

At GOLFTEC, we prioritize work-life balance for our Certified Personal Coaches. Coaches work a set schedule with two days off per week, one of which is guaranteed to be a weekend day. Additionally, we provide seven paid holidays and personal time off, allowing you to recharge and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

When creating a custom lesson plan, I start by assessing the student's current skill level and understanding their specific goals. I use technology and my experience to identify key areas for improvement, ensuring the plan is tailored to their individual needs. I communicate with the student throughout the process to adjust the plan as necessary based on their progress.

I find technologies like video analysis, launch monitors, and swing analysis software to be incredibly effective. They provide immediate feedback and data, allowing both the coach and student to grasp technical aspects more quickly. Utilizing these tools enhances the learning experience and helps students visualize their improvements.

My communication style is adaptive, transparent, and supportive. I believe in establishing a comfortable rapport with my students, encouraging open dialogue, and actively listening to their concerns. Providing clear, constructive feedback is essential to help them understand concepts and apply them effectively.
