The Role
The Proposition Manager will be responsible for researching, developing and proposing a tenant referencing product/service proposition. You would be focused on understanding the needs of landlords, letting agents, tenants and guarantors to ensure the development of a high-quality tenant referencing service. There is a competitive landscape in our industry and we are keen to learn and take innovative approaches from other industries on how they have taken product/service offerings to another level.
You’ll be carrying out end to end project work from discovery to analysis to proposal of how to improve the referencing experience. We are looking for someone who can lead ,inspire and influence key stakeholders and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver customer excellence.
This is a super exciting opportunity for someone to bring together all the different elements of the user journey so that we are aligned across the whole business from Tech Support to Referencing to Bills Included to Insurance.
The day to day stuff:
Proposition Development & Strategy:
Lead the creation and evolution of the tenant proposition, in particular the referencing journey, to exceed market demands and regulatory standards.
Define product positioning, target markets, and customer segments, ensuring alignment with company goals.
Conduct market research to understand customer needs and competitor offerings.
Develop a roadmap to improve or launch new services related to referencing.
Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate with internal teams (product, marketing sales, account management, operations, and compliance) to ensure alignment on the tenant referencing proposition.
Act as the key point of contact for letting agents, and referencing users, gathering feedback to drive service improvements.
Commercial Management:
Develop pricing models and sales strategies to maximise revenue and customer retention.
Analyse and report on the financial performance of the tenant referencing proposition.
Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling within the proposition.
Customer Experience:
Ensure a seamless and efficient tenant referencing process for all users, focusing on delivering a high-quality customer experience.
Develop strategies to enhance the onboarding experience for tenants, guarantors, and letting agents.
Risk & Compliance Management:
Maintain a robust understanding of relevant regulations, such as GDPR and tenant rights, ensuring compliance in all aspects of tenant referencing.
Work closely with the Financial Crimes Manager on our risk management processes, including fraud prevention and mitigation strategies.
Key Skills
Strong commercial acumen and experience in developing and managing business propositions.
Proven experience in product or proposition management, preferably within property, financial, or services industries.
Experience gathering and interpreting market trends, customer insights, and competitor intelligence.
Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
Experience in developing go-to-market strategies and commercial roadmaps.
Ability to analyse data and translate insights into actionable business recommendations.
Hands-on experience managing a SaaS or digital platform, ideally in the property, financial, or services industries.
Knowledge of API integrations, cloud infrastructure, and the technological underpinnings of SaaS platforms.
Experience in improving digital customer journeys, with a focus on UX/UI optimisation and customer satisfaction.
