Hydrosat is a venture-backed space data analytics company developing a new earth observation constellation and software to unlock the power of thermal infrared imagery. Our mission is to capture and deliver thermal infrared data, currently not available from other sources, to provide insights into crop health, drought and wildfire risk, industrial activity, and situational awareness to government and commercial customers.
What You’ll Do
We are seeking a Geospatial Software Engineer to support the operations of Hydrosat’s earth observation constellation. The team is responsible for building the software and services to produce data products from our novel earth observation system and deliver them to customers. This role will appeal to candidates looking to use their software engineering skills to impact the world in agriculture, climate, and public safety monitoring applications. The right candidate will be endlessly fascinated by thermal imaging, photography, and geography.

Your key responsibilities will include optimizing image processing pipelines, collaborating with experts to implement new functionalities, and assessing imagery products for accuracy and quality. With at least 5 years of software engineering experience, along with expertise in Python, GDAL, and OpenCV, you're ready to tackle challenges head-on.
