About the role

As a Commercial Marketing Analyst within the Customer Marketing and Subscriptions team, you are responsible for analysis and investigation to provide actionable insights and support decision making around customer behaviour, subscription pricing and offer strategy, the commerciality of our propositions and understanding ROI and marketing spend effectiveness. You will also perform analytics to support commercial negotiation and business cases to ensure the ongoing commercial viability of the subscriptions business.

As a Commercial Marketing Analyst you will;

  • Analyse offer pricing and trading mix to identify optimisation opportunities
  • Provide strategic recommendations for pricing, promotional offers, and product positioning juggling commercial objectives, market research and customer behaviour insights.
  • Provide detailed analytical support for business cases and commercial negotiations, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
  • Assess the effectiveness of marketing spend and propose actionable strategies to enhance return on investment (ROI) and overall campaign performance.
  • Translate complex data sets into meaningful insights through comprehensive reports, visual dashboards, and clear presentations for stakeholders.
  • Experience in consulting, analytics, or other data-focused roles, with a strong business acumen and a solid understanding of marketing principles and commercial strategy.
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to prepare, analyse, and interpret data sets.
  • A working knowledge of SQL and previous experience using BI reporting tools (such as Tableau or Looker) is desirable but not essential – Full training will be offered in the role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Answers the question behind the question, is able to interrogate a stakeholder’s ask to ensure output can be used to drive action.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability communicate effectively with a wide variety of teams and seniorities across the organisation.
  • Ability to manage and influence stakeholders so that insights and recommendations are adopted by the business and drive value.
  • Demonstrated experience with AI tools and a strong curiosity to innovate and integrate AI solutions into projects and processes.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and research methodologies is a plus.1
