Software Engineer Intern

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members to design and implement new features for the Commercial Platform.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of existing software solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Write and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure software quality.
  • Help with the deployment and configuration of applications in various environments.
  • Engage in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise.
  • Utilize GitHub for version control and automation processes within the development workflow.

 

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (2nd year or higher).
  • Basic understanding of software development concepts and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Typescript, Python, Kotlin) and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Exposure to web development frameworks (e.g., React, Django) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and experience with testing principles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, particularly GitHub.
  • Exposure to containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes) is a bonus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward learning and development.

Labcorp Genetics is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Software Engineering Intern to join our Commercial Platform team for the summer of 2025. As an intern, you will work closely with our software development team to contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of features for our commercial solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members to design and implement new features for the Commercial Platform.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of existing software solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Write and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure software quality.
