Payroll Specialist II

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for facilitating payroll processing for a workforce exceeding 10,000 employees. The ideal candidate will be able to handle a variety of payroll functions under strict deadlines. The Payroll Specialist will also be able to advise employees and department managers on payroll policies and procedures.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Audit and approve incoming payroll data
  • Calculate time corrections
  • Troubleshoot errors preventing completed payroll results
  • Manage wage garnishments
  • Monitor and distribute Payroll emails and service tickets
  • Correspond with employees and managers on payroll questions and concerns
  • Train incoming Payroll employees
  • Transmit Payroll files
  • Manage stop payments and reversals and correct direct deposit errors
  • Processing off-cycle payments
  • Create and manage daily and weekly payroll reports
  • Other duties as required by the needs of the payroll staff

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3- 5 years of previous payroll processing experience
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal
  • Detail- oriented

Level II

  • 5+ Years experience, Bachelor’s preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Workday and ADP
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
