Job Description

Link Solutions is seeking a Cable Splicer to join our team at Detroit Arsenal, MI. 

  • Must be a US Citizen  
  • Requires a DoD Secret Clearance 
  • Non-remote (relocation incentive available) 

The Cable Splicer will oversee and optimize the performance and functionality of the telecommunications systems in support of the Southeast Regional Network Enterprise Center (RNEC) at Detroit Arsenal, MI. As a key member of Link Solutions, you will leverage cutting-edge technology and communication systems to significantly advance our client’s goals.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting. 
  • Work with government customers to identify needs or opportunities for improvement. 
  • Ensure assigned tickets are addressed with government clients. 
  • Maintenance of telephone poles, manholes, handholds, and outside terminals. 
  • Install, de-install, maintain, repair, and test multiple-conductor aerial, underground, and buried communications cable to include coaxial, fiber optics, and copper/conventional cable. 
  • Provide cable audits of manholes, hand-holes, pedestals, communications closets, MDF, and IDF.

Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen. 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance (will sponsor the right candidate). 
  • Five (5+) years experience in telecommunications infrastructure, facility design, and installation. 
  • Knowledge and experience of BICSI rules, regulations, and standards. 
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and industry standards and practices. 
  • Experience with MS Office Suite. 

Preferred:  

  • Active Clearance.
  • BICSI OSP 102, TE 350 training.
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
  • Problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. 

Additional Information

This position is contingent upon the successful acquisition of the government contract and the completion of ongoing negotiations. We anticipate these processes will be completed within the next several weeks, at which time interviews and offers will be extended upon successful contract award.
