Job Description

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

This role will be based out of New York City, San Francisco Bay Area, or Washington D.C.

The LinkedIn Legal & Public Policy Team is made up of legal and policy professionals with diverse backgrounds and skill sets who have set an extremely high bar for providing legal and policy solutions. If you like smart, witty and motivated people, you will fit in well with the team.

We are looking for a highly motivated team player to lead LinkedIn’s Ads and Monetization Policy team, playing a critical role in keeping LinkedIn safe, trusted and professional. You will report directly to the Global Head of Content Policy and partner with stakeholders across the company, including Product, Trust & Safety, Sales, Government Relations, Communications, and others to drive product policy development and trust solutions globally. 

Responsibilities:

  • Guide the day-to-day operations and strategy of the Product and Monetization Policy team

  • Manage a team of policy analysts, coordinating with global Legal and Content Policy leadership to prioritize core projects  

  • Develop, scale and maintain processes that are consistent, measurable, and easy to track

  • Cultivate strong working relationships with local management, operations, business, and public policy stakeholders 

  • Handle critical time-sensitive incidents of high impact to LinkedIn and our members and customers

  • Craft and communicate effective data-driven stories and updates to executive leadership in order to influence decisions and outcomes

  • Work collaboratively with business and technical stakeholders to identify optimal solutions based on a variety of criteria (cost, level of effort, complexity, timing, etc)

  • Provide updates on the status and overall health of regional and global workstreams to stakeholders and management on a regular basis

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience

  • 7+ years of related work experience, including 5+ years of experience in writing advertising, monetization and product policies; product risk management; or trust & safety operations

  • 5+ years of experience directly managing teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technology industry experience

  • Excellent relationship skills; ability to establish credibility and rapport with technical and non-technical team members and to work collaboratively and cross-functionally

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to understand business and technical requirements and “speak the language” of the various stakeholders

  • Ability to influence and negotiate prioritization of product changes

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities effectively and maintain a high level of attention to detail

  • Ability to work in ambiguity and adapt to changing business and technical conditions

  • Experience with developing and reporting out metrics, analysis and other data-driven decision making

  • Ability to develop working knowledge of technical aspects of systems, including configuration, settings, logging, and permissions

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

The pay range for this role is $112,000 - $185,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
