Solutions Engineer

As a Solutions Engineer, you will play a pivotal role on our Commercial team, collaborating closely with various internal teams at Mark43. You will be the glue that holds different stakeholders together as we continue to launch our product with first responders around the world. Your success in this role will come from establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers, suppliers, and other key individuals, allowing for a deep understanding of technical requirements that will ensure the success of our product deployments to first responders. This is a remote position with travel expectations. 

 

What You'll Do 

  • Client Development: Collaborate to respond to tenders and convert clients to face-to-face demonstrations. Become an expert on specific technical considerations regarding RFP requirements. 
  • Sales: Attend face-to-face demonstrations and assist in qualifying, demonstrating, and communicating the Mark43 platform’s technical value proposition to new customers. Provide support to Account Managers and Sales Development Representatives. 
  • Technical Services: Gather technical requirements necessary for successful migrations and integrations for new departments we work with. 
  • Deployments: Help manage and execute new deployments and mitigate technical concerns as they arise from communications with our clients. 
  • Engineering and Product Management: Understand and communicate the product roadmap to current and future customers. Inform the roadmap going forward. 

 

What You'll Need 

  • 5+ years of experience in selling enterprise software. 
  • Experience selling to Government and UK Policing Organisations (ideally CAD/RMS). 
  • Excellent technical writing skills and basic familiarity with the public sector procurement process (RFP/I/Q). 
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences. 
  • Ability to run and structure in-depth product demonstrations. 
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, able to work autonomously. 
  • Willingness to travel 50-80% with Account Managers to communicate technical value proposition. 
  • Understanding of the product lifecycle, from requirements gathering to maintenance support. 
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
